Author Guidelines

1. The journal accepts original papers which have not been published before anywhere.

2. The article must be sent to the editorial office of the journal “Land Reclamation” in accordance with the Procedure for submitting manuscripts presented on the website of the Republican Scientific Subsidiary Unitary Enterprise “Institute for Land Reclamation”.

3. Manuscripts must be written in Russian and include a block of information in English.

4. The total number of pages should be at least 0.35 author's sheet (14 thousand printed characters, including spaces between words, punctuation marks, numbers, etc.), but not more than 0.5 author's sheet (20 thousand printed characters), including the text, illustrations, tables, references.

5. The manuscripts should include the following elements: index according to the Universal Decimal Classification (UDC); keywords in Russian and English; abstracts in Russian and English (500 characters); an introduction; the main body, including graphs and figures; clearly formulated conclusions; a reference list according to the Decree of the Higher Attestation Commission of Belarus dated February 28, 2014 No. 3 (Chapter 5. The structure and design of scientific publications on the dissertation topic).

6. The section "Introduction" should include a brief review of the literature on the studied issue, unresolved issues, formulated and justified aim of the work.

7. The main body of the article should contain a description of the methods, objects, and detailed content of the study conducted by the author (s). The results should be discussed from the point of view of their scientific novelty and compared with the corresponding known data.

8. The conclusion section should include the main results formulated in a concise form, indicating their novelty, advantages and application.

9. References should be listed at the end of the paper and correspond to the Order of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus dated June 25, 2014 No. 159. It should be numbered consecutively in the order first mentioned in the text with square brackets (for example, [1], [2]). Indicate the total number of pages of the book, or page numbers from the beginning to the end of an article. Avoid citing unpublished works.

10. Illustrations, formulas, equations and footnotes found in the article should be numbered in accordance with the citation order in the text.

11. The font of article texts must be Arial Narrow, size 11, line spacing – 1.2, indentation - 1. Provide two copies of the print article, signed by authors.

12. The electronic version should be written in Microsoft Word, formulas – in the Office formula editor. Use "Insert \ Symbol" menu to insert symbols. Use "Format \ Font \ Superscript", "Format \ Font \ Subscript" for a superscript and subscript (H2, H1). Type Latin letters in italics. Click "Symbol" to choose Greek letters and other mathematical signs. Use straight type for mathematical formulas (lim, sum, ln, sin, Re, Im, etc.) and numbers.

13. Figures should be as separate files in TIFF or JPEG format of 300-600 points per inch. The text in the figures should be typed in Arial, italics. The size of the point is commensurate with the size of the figures (preferably size 8). The area of simple figures should not exceed 100–150 cm2, the size of complex figures should not exceed 130–160 cm2.

14. The dimension of all quantities used in the articles must comply with the International System of Units (SI).

15. The editors reserve the right to shorten texts and make editorial changes.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The manuscripts are accepted if has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
  2. The materials should be prepared in a format OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or World Perfect.
  3. Internet links are provided as a complete URL. 

  4. Text should be typed with an interval of one and a half line spacing, font Times New Roman, 14 pt; to highlight the accents it is recommended to use italics rather than underlining (except Internet links). All images, graphics and tables are placed within the text according to the meaning of the particular part of text  (and not at the end of the document).
  5. Text should follow the stylistic and bibliography requirements as stated in  Regulations  located in the Part "About Us." 

  6. Please, remove the authors' names from the title of the article and other parts of the document to ensure the  anonymity of reviewing.

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:
